What this is, and what it isn't

Educational, not advice

Valmonk provides calculators. Every result is arithmetic performed on numbers you entered, under assumptions shown on the page that you can change. Nothing here is a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial product, and nothing here takes account of your circumstances, because we do not know them and do not collect them.

Why this isn't investment advice

Two things keep it on the right side of that line, and both are deliberate.We never name a financial product. No fund, no scheme, no ticker, not once, anywhere on this site. And no result tells you what to do.Every one states what your numbers are and stops. That is enforced by a check that fails our build if any page says otherwise, not by us remembering.

We also know nothing about you. No account, no email, nothing stored on a server, so there is no relationship in which advice could be given, and no way for us to tailor anything to a situation we cannot see.

We are not registered with SEBI

Valmonk is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, not a broker, not a distributor and not a marketplace. We do not sell investment products and earn no commission on anything you do after leaving this site. If you want advice specific to your situation, a SEBI-registered investment adviser is who to ask.

Tax figures

Income tax slabs, the section 87A rebate, cess and surcharge follow the rates published by the Income Tax Department for FY 2026-27 (AY 2027-28). PF follows the Employees' Provident Funds Scheme, 1952, and gratuity the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. Rates change, and edge cases exist that these tools do not model, senior citizen slabs and capital gains among them. For anything that matters, check with the department or a chartered accountant.

Your numbers

Everything you type stays in your browser. There is no account, no server storing your figures, and nothing transmitted when you use a tool. What we count is anonymous and categorical, which tool was opened, whether a result was shared, with no figures attached, and we honour Do Not Track.

Accuracy

We test this arithmetic against the published rules and cite the source for every rate. We still make mistakes. If a number here looks wrong, it may be, tell us, because being wrong about tax costs more than being late.
