SIP
What does a monthly SIP add up to?
The total, and what that total is actually worth when you get there.
- ₹6,00,000

Your numbers, your assumptions. Not advice. We can't see the rest of your life. What that means.
The same amount every month
A one-off amount alongside the SIP, if any. Both are shown together.
What this assumes
All editable. Change one and the answer changes with it.
Your assumption, not a forecast. The convention here matches the calculators you can check this against: contributions at the start of each month.
Used only for the today's-money line. Most SIP calculators stop at the nominal figure, which is why that figure feels larger than it is.
How this works, and where the numbers come from
The same maths everyone else uses
Contributions at the start of each month, compounded monthly. That is the convention every Indian SIP calculator uses, so the figure here matches the one you would get from a fund house. ₹5,000 a month for ten years at 12% comes to ₹11,61,695 here and everywhere else, which is the point.
With one line the others leave out
A crore in thirty years is the number people plan around, and it is not a crore. Under every result here is what the figure buys in today's money, because a total you cannot translate is a total you cannot use.
The rate is yours
Nothing on this page forecasts a return. The rate is an assumption you set, and the tool reports what that assumption implies. If you want to see how much of it survives tax and inflation, the real-return tool takes the same number apart.
Educational, not advice. Your numbers under assumptions you set.
