We don't collect your numbers.

This is short because there is very little to say. Valmonk has no accounts, and no server sees what you type into a tool. There is now exactly one thing we store, and it is the one thing on this page worth reading carefully.

What stays in your browser

The figures you enter, salary, rent, EMIs, are held in your browser's local storage so a tool remembers them on your next visit and so other tools can pre-fill from them. They are never transmitted. Clearing your browser data removes them, and nothing of yours survives anywhere else.

A result is also encoded in the page's address. That is what makes a link shareable, and it means anyone you send a link to sees the numbers in it, which is the point, but worth knowing before you paste one into a group chat.

The one thing we store

If you put your email into the waitlist for First Five, we keep it: the address, the date, and which part of the page you signed up from. Nothing else, no name, no figures, and nothing linking it to anything you did in a tool.

It sits in a Postgres database hosted by Neon through Vercel, and it is used for one thing: to write to you when there is something to try. Not a newsletter, not marketing, and never passed or sold to anyone.

The waitlist is for adults.First Five is being built for 13–18 year olds, and the person who would buy it is a parent or a teacher, so the form asks you to confirm you are 18 or over. That is a stated condition rather than something we can verify, and it is why we ask for nothing beyond an address.

To be removed, email hello@valmonk.com. We will delete the address and confirm it. You do not have to explain why, and there is nothing else of yours for us to delete.

What we count

We count anonymous, cookieless events: which tool was opened, whether a result was shared, whether someone came back. No figures are attached to any of it, the code that sends events refuses to transmit anything that looks like an amount, and that rule is enforced by a test rather than by good intentions.

We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If either is on, nothing is sent at all.

What we don't do

No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, no data sold or shared with anyone, and no profile of you built anywhere. We are not a broker, adviser or marketplace and earn no commission on anything you do next.

If you are under 18

You are welcome here, and every tool on this site works for you exactly as it does for anyone else. The design is still the safeguard: there is no account to create and nothing a tool collects that could identify you.

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 places obligations on anyone processing a child's personal data, and our answer is to hold none. That is why the waitlist, the only place on this site that asks for anything, is restricted to adults. If you are under 18 and want First Five, ask a parent or a teacher to put their address in instead of yours.

Changes

This page previously said there was no email to give, and promised that if that stopped being true it would change first and say so plainly rather than being quietly amended. The waitlist arrived on 13 August 2026 and this page changed with it, in the same release. The promise still stands for whatever comes next.
